Foundation for Survival of Women and Children (SWACH) celebrated its 36th Anniversary on 6 October 2024. It was a grand event, marking the organization's long-standing commitment to supporting women, children and adolescents. Dr Neena Raina, Executive Director (Hon) shared progress of work. From Rotary International- Dr. Rita Kalra, and Mr. Pradeep Sisodia, Prof Anil Raina, Prof Harpreet Pruthi, Dr Bharti Sharma and Dr Tanu Goyal distributed prizes to the winners of poster presentation competition and healthy baby show. Dr Rita Kalra and Mr Pradeep Sisodia from Rotary delivered speeches which inspired adolescents the students and attendees alike.
One of the highlights of the event was the participation of adolescents in various activities. Adolescents from the age groups 10-14 and 15-19 years took part in a poster-making competition, showcasing their creativity.
In addition, the event featured a "Baby Show," where babies under five years were assessed on their height, weight, immunization status, and cleanliness.
A free Physiotherapy camp was also organised which responded to the needs of older people. The celebration was a beautiful testament to the dedication of SWACH towards empowering women, adolescents and children and fostering community spirit.
All participants received gifts and certificates as a token of appreciation.
